Assessing Construction Constraint Factors on Project Performance in the Construction Industry

چکیده

A construction constraint is a condition that impedes progress toward meeting project goals. This paper seeks to assess the factors affecting performance in South African industry. The study adopted quantitative research design, and questionnaire was designed retrieve data from target populations. population were professionals within One hundred eighty questionnaires administered area through purposive quota sampling technique. Retrieved analysed using descriptive exploratory factor analysis. In order determine reliability interrelatedness of variables, Cronbach’s alpha test carried out on each component. results analysis show stakeholders’ inappropriate scheduling coordination factors, organisation government policies leading constraints Due time distance constraints, this limited Africa’s Free State province. concluded reduce performance, must improve their scheduling, coordination, organisational policies, managerial capacity. paper’s findings will assist stakeholders identifying overcoming projects’ execution delivery.
